Heat:

DEFINITION :

Heat is the energy that from hot body to Cold body due to difference in temperature.

 it SI unit is joules "J".

 1 calorie = 4.2 Joule.

 1 BTU =  1055 Joule = 252 calori.

 

Temperature:

DEFINITION:

it is an average kinetic energy and potential energy all molecules of a substance.

 

SCALES OF TEMPERATURE :

 

1: Celsius or centigrade :

There are hundred equal division on this scale . The fixed point are from 0 degree celcius  to 100 degree celcius.

 

2: FAHRENHEIT :

There are 180 equal division on this scale. The fixed point are from 32 fahrenheit to 212 fahrenheit.

 

3: KELVIN :

There are 100 equal division on this sacale .the fixed point are from 273 K to 373 K.

 

THERMOMETRIC PROPERTIES:

The properties that changes with temperature are called thermometric properties.

 For example:

1: Volume of gas

2: Volume of a liquid.

3: Electrical resistance of a conductor
